Step 1:     We will meet and discuss your project. At this meeting we will discuss the image you want your business to have and I have a short form for you to fill out to give me a good idea of the style of design you are looking for. At this stage I will be trying to get to know your business. Domain name preference will be addressed and every effort will go into trying to obtain that exact domain name. There are many considerations that need to be talked about when planning web sites. At this meeting we will go into the possibilities and what each can do for your business so that you can maximize the potential of your site while remaining inside your budget. Also at this meeting I may offer some marketing and advertising suggestions that I believe may give your business an edge over your competitors.
Step 2:     You will receive a quote. This quote will include the cost of design, the domain name, and hosting. The only thing this quote will not include is merchant account fees. It will also include a timeline so you have a date when the first review will be ready. AFter the first review the timeline will depend on the amount of revisions requested and the complication of those revisions. I will also give you a description of your project with the quote to verify what we discussed. This avoids any problems in communication.
Step 3:     50% of the total cost is due before work can begin on your project. Once the quote is approved, deposit is paid, and the applicable materials are supplied by you, work will begin. Applicable materials may include any text you wanted to write yourself or any images you wanted to supply. After the quote is approved and the deposit is paid you have 30 days to supply any promised material. After that time a your account is closed and a fee of $50.00 is required to reopen the account. I cannot keep deadlines if I don't know when I will receive materials. If there is a forseeable problem then other arrangements can be made and your account will not close. Reviews of your project are done online. This is done to save time and make things faster. If it is preferred that we handle reviews by meeting in person that can also be arranged. You will always have more than one design to choose from.
Step 4:     You have as many revisions as it takes to be happy with your site. Once we have finalized the design the site can be published on the web. The balance will be due before this can happen. (In the case of e-commerce and some specialty sites we may need to purchase other online services as well before your site can be published.)
Step 5:     Once your site is published search engine submissions begin. Any web marketing plan you may have purchased will begin as well along with any instruction that may be necessary. You will receive a marketing report monthly during your enrollment in the marketing plan.
Note:     If you have purchased a single marketing plan for a site not designed by us these steps are different. In the case of marketing plans 100% of the costs are due up front and monthly marketing reports are sent out to you. We will discuss upon meeting which plan or variation of services is right for you.
